What is Craft CMS?

Do you charge the Craft CMS plugin and the service?
No, we only charge for the plugin in the Craft CMS store. If you are an agency and are interested in a bulk license purchase, contact us. -
But there is also a free version in the plugin store. What is the difference?
With the free monitoring client plugin, you can fully monitor your own website. But you will need to take care of displaying and interpreting the data yourself. With the Pro edition of the plugin, you can use this service and let us take care of that part. -
How does the monitoring work?
The monitoring works by regularly checking your sites for updates, security issues and other potential problems. -
What data does the plugin have access to?
The plugin more or less exposes the existing system report feature in Craft CMS. The endpoint is protected by a secret key, which you can choose freely and is saved encrypted in the server database. The client plugin is open source, so you can check it out anytime https://github.com/vandres/craft-monitoring-client -
Can I trust that this plugin won't expose any sensitive data to Craft Monitoring?
We are not interested in your sensitive data. We only transfer data already available from the system report in Craft CMS. This includes the PHP $_ENV and $_SERVER Superglobals. We highly recommend naming your sensitive environment variables accordingly so Craft can mask them (keyword list). We also recommend, to only use the plugin with an https url scheme.
